Whether it’s the speech you deliver in the boardroom\, the level of attention you give your spouse when they are talking to you\, or the look you give the cat\, it all means something. \nThe BEVA Communication Strategies course will help participants understand the different methods of communication and how to make the most of each of them. These strategies will provide a great benefit for any organization and its employees. They will trickle down throughout the organization and positively impact everyone involved. \nCourse Objectives: \n\nUnderstand what communication is\nIdentify ways that communication can happen\nIdentify barriers to communication and how to overcome them\nDevelop their non-verbal and paraverbal communication skills\nUse the STAR method to speak on the spot\nListen actively and effectively\nAsk good questions\nUse appreciative inquiry as a communication tool\nAdeptly converse and network with others\nIdentify and mitigate precipitating factors\nEstablish common ground with others\nUse “I” messages\n\nThis is a highly interactive and participative workshop. \n Supplement Material \nA student manual is available for the learner to follow during the instructor’s presentation. \nCourse Evaluation \n A course evaluation will be completed by the learners once the course is finished. \nCertificate \nA BEVA® certificate of attendance will be provided once the participant completes the course. \nNote: The course outline may be subject to change.
