DESCRIPTION:Learn in a classroom environment with your peers\, virtually\, with a BEVA® instructor online. \nCourse Length: 2 days \nTarget Audience: Executives\, board members\, managers\,                                   supervisors and business owners \nLearning Objectives:\n\nExamining a broad range of concepts\, principles\, characteristics and styles of leadership and their value and application in achieving results through people\nHow to add value to the organization through leadership\n\nCourse Content:\n\nExamining the key elements of leadership\nIdentifying leadership competencies that achieve organizational results\nAdding value to the organization through leadership\nVisioning the future – then developing the team\nExamining the relationship between management and leadership\nConsidering the role of emotional intelligence\nUnderstanding self and personality differences\nGaining an awareness of different leadership styles\nEnhancing change management skills\nUnderstanding the three phases of transition\nBuilding trust and respect\nEmpowering employees\nExamining the value of effective communication skills\n“The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People” (Covey)\n\nThis is a highly participative and interactive course.  Several self-assessment tools will be used to assist in identifying personal leadership skills and areas for improvement.  Participants will also work in teams and groups on several case studies and then come together in plenary for input\, group discussion\, and sharing. \nSupplement Material \nA student manual is available for the learner to follow during the instructor’s presentation. \nBenefits to the participants \nThroughout the activities\, the learners will look at various leadership building blocks and how to apply them accordingly when moving forward. \nCourse Evaluation \nA course evaluation will be completed by the learners once the course is finished. \nCertificate \nA BEVA® certificate of attendance will be provided once the participant completes the course. \nNote: The course outline may be subject to change. \n
