Description
BEVA Global Management is pleased to work with The Leadership Circle Profile™ (LCP), a tool designed to accelerate leadership effectiveness beyond traditional competency-based approaches. This is the only 360-degree competency assessment that simultaneously provides focused competency feedback while revealing the underlying assumptions that are causing a leader’s pattern of strengths and limitations. If a leader can understand more about how their thinking affects their behavior and the consequent impacts on their effectiveness, learning and change can be focused and effective.
BEVA has provided these services for executives and several Government of Canada Ministries including Agriculture and Agrifoods Canada, Health Canada, Corrections Canada and Parks Canada. The Leadership Circle is a based on a Universal Model of Leadership that aligns with leadership competency frameworks used by Government of Canada.
The Leadership Circle Profile (LCP)™, measures two domains of leadership:
Creative competencies are well-researched leadership competencies that measure how you achieve results, bring out the best in others, lead with vision, enhance your own development, act with integrity, and encourage and improve organizational systems.
Reactive tendencies are leadership styles that emphasize caution over creating results, self-protection over productive engagement, and aggression over building alignment. These self-limiting styles overemphasize the focus on gaining the approval of others, protecting yourself and getting results through high control tactics. High reactivity has a limiting effect on a leader’s competencies. More details about the profile and how it works are attached to this document. Services can be provided in French or English.
The LCP is a web-based assessment system. The company or organization will need to be set up as a client in the system and the names and email addresses of the manager(s) that will be participating in the assessment will be uploaded into the system. Each person will receive an invitation to set up their password and complete a self-assessment. Each person will select and enter the email addresses of a minimum of 10 people (there is no maximum) to rate the leadership behaviours of the person being assessed. They are encouraged to select a variety of people – their manager (boss), their manager reports to (boss’s boss), peers, direct reports or others. It is recommended at least three people are selected in each category (other than boss and boss’s boss). All results are confidential. Once names and emails are entered by the participant, a system generated invitation is sent to each evaluator. Responses are monitored and we will provide reminders before the closing date.
It is recommended the survey remain open for three weeks to enable maximum response. Each participant receives electronically a graphic report, a detailed numeric report, a resource interpretation guide to help with understanding the results and a one-on-one debriefing and action planning sessions with a certified coach. The client can also opt to order hard copies and a binder for an additional fee.
The LCP Executive Services Package includes:
- An initial meeting with the executive sponsor of the project to affirm the purpose, goals, givens (e.g., confidentiality of all assessments and debriefing), time frame and logistics.
- A group orientation to the process
- An initial half-hour introduction with the coach to confirm fit, a coaching agreement and overall coaching goal
- Setting up and monitoring the LCP profile
- Sending the results to each client electronically
- A half hour introduction session with the coach
- A 5 -2-hour debriefing session to overview and help the clients interpret the results
- A 1-hour action planning session for each client
- Email questions and follow up with the coach between sessions
- A follow-up meeting with the sponsor if
If desired the client can choose a group report and group debriefing to assist the team to identify collective learning priorities.
The assessment and debriefing create awareness. It takes time and practice to transform leadership behaviours to become the leader that the person aspires to be. It is highly recommended that participants have an additional 6-8 coaching sessions (extra fee) following the assessments and debriefing to support the client to implement and embody the new behaviours and practices that will make a significant difference.
The LCP debriefing services will be provided virtually using a web-based platform that allows the coach and client to “meet” visually such as Teams, WebEx, ZOOM or client’s other preferred platform.
We can initiate the assessment process as soon as the contract is in place. Once initiated, the assessment process and initial debriefing can be completed within 4-6 weeks.
