Learn in a classroom environment with your peers, virtually, with an instructor online.

Course Length:  1 day (2 x 3.5 hour virtual workshops, preferably with a time for reflection in between: e.g. two mornings on two consecutive days, or one afternoon followed by one morning)

By the end of this interactive online workshop the participant will have:

• Reviewed where they have been, and results achieved in the last year

• Completed exercises to help set their vision for the year (or years) ahead

• Reviewed and practiced setting SMART Goals

• Learn approaches to break down objectives into an action plan

• Explored typical challenges to successful planning and how to circumvent them Workshop Content: Where have I been? What is emerging for me personally and professionally?

• What is the story you want to tell about the last year?

• “Engaging deeply” with this difficult period (pandemic) in the present • What is a purpose statement and why is it useful? • What is a vision statement and why is it useful?

• Exercises that help us clarify our vision Goal setting

• Debriefing our visioning exercise

• Setting goals for individual projects vs professional settings o Aligning our goals to organisational objectives o Aligning our goals to our purpose and vision

• SMART formula for goal setting Action planning and staying on track

• Values and priorities and developing a dashboard and other useful tools

• Identifying, facing challenges, and letting go

• Motivations, personality type and habits: how they intervene in the implementation of our plan

• Tips for keeping on track

Preparation for the course:  Participants will be asked in advance to collect and bring some easy-to-find materials (file folder, images from the web or magazines, writing and drawing tools).

Supplement Material:

A student manual is available for the learner to follow during the instructor’s presentation.

Throughout the activities, the learners will look at setting goals as well as develop an action plan in order to meet the goals.
